We
are pleased to announce the opening of the members only section
of our new bulletin board. As described by our webmaster in
the most recent KQ, this BB will have areas where the membership
can see motions the Board is currently considering, motions
that have been approved, historical documents, committee reports,
and many other items of interest to our membership.
We are also experimenting with a new option: a Member Comment
area of the bulletin board where we will be posting subjects
on which we and the KCA's committees would like to hear your
comments, and where you will be able to see what other KCA
members are saying on the same topic. This option will be
in trial for three months. The first subject will be under
the Health Committee, and will seek comment on the CHIC program.
After three months, the option may be expanded more broadly,
or it may be discontinued. The outcome depends upon whether
this option is truly constructive for our Club.
We ask members to be respectful of the Board,
the Committees, and one another in using the Member Comment
area. We also
request that you limit emails in response to any topic
to 500 words or less, and no more than 15 posts on any topic
per quarter. On-topic member responses will be posted anonymously
to the bulletin board in the Member Comment area.
You will not receive a response from the Board or any committee
to your comments in the Member Comment area.
We hope that you enjoy using the new bulletin board, and
the new opportunities it provides for communication between
the members, committees, and board of the KCA.
